The Lemonthyme Power Station is a conventional hydroelectric power station located in north-western Tasmania, Australia. ==Technical details== Part of the MerseyForth scheme that comprises eight hydroelectric power stations, the Lemonthyme Power Station is the third station in the scheme. The power station is located below the rock-filled Parangana Dam which forms Lake Parangana by damming the Mersey River. Water from the lake is transferred west to the power station by a -long tunnel and a -long surface single penstock. A mini hydro station is provided at Lake Parangana to release water into the lower reaches of the Mersey River. The water runs into Lake Cethana. The power station was commissioned in 1969 by the Hydro Electric Corporation (TAS) and the station has one Fuji Francis turbine, with a generating capacity of of electricity. The station output, estimated to be annually,〔 is fed to Transend Networks’ transmission grid via two 3-phase 11 kV/110 kV Siemens generator transformer to the outdoor switchyard.
